Emission measurements are fundamental building blocks for emissions software and tools and thus critical for policy development and evaluation.

There are various ways to measure transport emissions. Common examples are tunnel studies, remote sensing, on-board emissions testing (PEMS) and laboratory chassis or engine dynamometer emissions testing, but there are more. Every approach has their own strengths and weaknesses, which need to be considered in the light of project objectives, budget and resources.

TER has extensive experience in vehicle emissions monitoring, design of experiments, test protocols, quality control, statistical analysis, data visualisation and reporting.
